Etowah Mounds, in Etoway, Georgia.These are thought to be burial mounds....but in the past religious ceremonies were held here above the villiage that surrounded the mounds.

No matter where we find ourselves, there will always be times when we are not our healthiest. Within this seminar we will look at common spices and foods from a new standpoint. Not just as flavorings or as nutritional aids in diet, but also how they can keep you and your family healthy.
One constant in our new, modern age of shipping is that supermarkets everywhere in the U.S.A. and Canada carry very similar items. So the problem we are faced with is the lack of knowledge of how to utilize them for our benefit. We will be looking, from an historic standpoint, at how our ancestors used what was available to them.
Backyard Medicine
Have you ever wondered what it was you were killing when you sprayed herbicides all over your lawn? The dandelions and plantains, do they have any reason for being there, other than to frustrate you? In India, Ayurvedic practioners were writing medical texts long before the birth of Christ.Together we will trace the use of plants materials as medicine from the earliest records all the way to modern times.

Vibrational healing is the use of sound (music), color, and crystals for balancing, harmonizing and healing the body, mind and soul. All things have a vibrational frequency, think of a tuning fork, when struck it produces a sound, it vibrates on a particular frequency, and you can feel the frequency when touching the base of the fork. All matter has that quality, when out of tune, or harmony illness occurs. In singing, when the voices physically present are in perfect harmony additional voices can be perceived in the sound....Peter, Paul and Mary called this phenomena Oh Henry! In healing this achievement of harmony can augment the healing process...creating health and preventing further damage. Ever wonder why hospitals use certain colors on the walls? There are traditional story tellers and modern ones, there are old stories and new ones growing up every day, there are ways to tell stories, and ways not to. How do you get the audience on the edge of their seats, how do you make them jump for a bump in the night, how do you get them to believe? Come and explore this wonderful traditional pastime.
